Drama is not a stand alone specialist subject—it is a powerful tool that allows children to experience their worlds, their history, their aspirations and realise their potential. It places the child at the centre of the learning experience allowing a deep engagement and ownership of the learning.
A teacher doesn’t need to be an actor to use drama, he or she needs only to know how to utilize the child’s imagination and a belief in the learning journey drama can facilitate.
