This workshop studies context, text study, character and language in a practical session where students work with professional actors and a director to crack open the play, its times and its theatrical potential. Students and actors work and interpret text together. (2 hour session)
All workshops can be split into one hour blocks to fit into curriculum delivery when necessary. Content of educational support models can be tailored to your needs.
Improvisation and Devising Workshop
Practical techniques for improvisation working towards devising, structuring and scripting. Appropriate for creative writing, building strong structures and creating characters. Tailored to English set text plays and literature. Also appropriate for Performing Arts and Theatre Studies. (2 hour session)
Poetry Matters
A workshop that explores the language, rhythm, structure and meaning of poetry through reading and rhythm work. Students will experience a range of poets and poetry styles. The workshop leads into writing a contemporary group piece.
