DEALS4LEARNING
is a group of experienced professional drama practitioners and educationalists, working together to facilitate creative learning and SEAL approaches for teachers and students, to build learning and emotional capacity in young people.
Drama techniques and Role Play
Deals4learning integrates creative drama techniques seamlessly into the classroom to help children and young people explore their educational, creative, social and personal potential. We support curriculum delivery with experiential drama-based learning projects. We deliver projects, programmes, workshops and teacher training. We believe that using role play and experiential drama enables a deeper connection to and understanding of learning.
Emotional Intelligence
We work with specifically tailored short and long-term programmes; promoting cognitive skills and empathy, helping young people to understand, access and express their feelings and to be aware of the effect their behaviours have on others and consequently impacts on themselves. We develop emotional intelligence within creative learning to form a bedrock for children to interact with each other, their teacher and their learning experience.
Learning
We believe that a creative drama-based approach in teaching allows children to connect to their learning and makes is more meaningful and memorable. We use a multiple intelligence approach, incor-porating a range of kinaesthetic, auditory and visual techniques.
We work with, for and in partnership with teachers.
Our work is totally integrated in the delivery of the National Curriculum.
Sociability and Self Esteem
Our work with creative drama facilitates interaction, negotiation, and problem solving. The children learn together in a safe and empathetic environment. Our tailor made Super Me! Programme for primary schools works with vulnerable children and children with behavioural difficulties to promote a stronger sense of self-identity, empathy and resilience in the school environment.
The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect alone but by the play instinct.
